Handspun Yarns

Each skein of yarn I create is a small story—spun with care, intention, and deep respect for the animals and landscapes it comes from. From rustic, natural woolen yarns sourced from Scottish sheep I know by name, to the softest British merino or vibrant, eclectic art yarns, every strand is lovingly handspun by me in Scotland on my Ashford Traditional spinning wheel.

Some yarns are entirely prepared by hand—washed, picked, carded, and spun from fleece collected directly from local farms or cherished companion with animals. Others are spun from high-quality, commercially prepared fibre when I can’t source a specific breed locally. In all cases, I strive to use fibres from small-scale, sustainable farms that prioritise animal welfare and traditional, low-impact practices.

This is slow, thoughtful yarn—made to honour the natural world, celebrate diversity in fibre, and preserve the magic of handcraft.
